Andersontown Powwow Enjoy Native American performers including storytellers, dancers, and singers. The Andersontown Powwow is held each year on the weekend after Labor Day.

The Andersontown Powwow is two days of family fun, showcasing Native American Culture through dance, music, storytelling, authentic art and craft market shopping. Shop for authentic handmade Native American art, paintings, jewelry and cultural items in the Indian Market. Experience hands-on activities for the whole family including art and cultural activities, a Woodland Indians camp, Tipi Lodge,

Native American food, tomahawk throws, flintknapping and more! The Anderson Powwow is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for all guests. Accessible parking is available, and a shuttle service is provided for individuals with mobility concerns. Accessible portable restrooms will be on-site. Please note that some Powwow activities take place on grassy areas, while others are held in a pavilion with cement flooring. Accessible seating will be available near the arena. Planning on attending the Andersontown Powwow for the first time? Here are a few things you should know:

1. Please respect the dance area as a holy space

2. Please stand and remove your hats or caps for honor songs such as the Grand Entry, the Flag Song, Veterans’ Songs and when the emcee requests it. An exception is made for those with eagle feathers on their hats or caps.

3. The dancers wear regalia while they are dancing, not costumes

4. Please do not touch the dancers' regalia or feathers.

5. Most importantly, have fun. There may be times where the emcee invites spectators to join. Participation is encouraged.
