George the Mouse

It’s Autumn!
Red, orange, yellow, brown
Leaves are floating, drifting down.
Falling softly from the trees
Crisp air, a gentle breeze.
Friends gather, one and all
To celebrate-it is fall!

We’re so grateful for this beautiful reflection on George the Mouse in a Log Pile House from The Mommies Reviews. 🐭💚

Rather than simply reviewing the story, Glenda, Charlie and David Cates explored what George can become once he finds a place in a family’s everyday life—from homeschool reading and classroom transitions to those quiet moments together at the end of the day.

They beautifully captured what we hoped George would inspire: curiosity, courage, a sense of belonging, and the comfort of finding your way home.

Thank you, Mommies Reviews, for spending time with George and sharing him with your readers! ❤️

Looking forward to more fun with Stone Cottage Studio and Rebecca Atanassova, Children’s Book Author

Rebecca Atanassova, Children’s Book Author and I are looking forward to this joint George the Mouse book event at both Postscript and Turtle Creek Gallery in Ashland, Nebraska!
Simon Dell (of George the Mouse in a log pile house) lives too far away to attend, so we will be sure to tell our guests all about him, how he met the real George, and built a magical mouse village!

We loved talking with Dr. Tim Jordan about something close to our hearts: helping girls discover and nurture their artistic voices. 🎨💛

In this wonderful interview, author Rebecca Atanassova and illustrator Alissa Hansen share the experiences that encouraged their own creative passions—and how those experiences shaped George the Mouse in a Log Pile House.

It’s a beautiful conversation about creativity, imagination, inclusion, acceptance, and giving children the confidence to follow their own whiskers.

Mr. Tographer is such a great friend to me, Mildred and Minnie.

“A Friend Can Change Everything”

Sometimes the person who seems biggest...

turns out to have the kindest heart.

That day, I didn’t just meet Mr. Tographer.

I found a friend.

❤️

Question: Who was the first person who made you feel welcome?

So proud of Rebecca Atanassova, Children’s Book Author and Stone Cottage Studio’s Alissa Hansen. Thank you George the Mouse in a log pile house’s Simon Dell for helping them with a book about me! I look great in the photo, don’t you think?

Nebraskans Rebecca Atanassova and Alissa Hansen teamed up to create their new children's book, "George the Mouse in a Log Pile House," inspired by photographer Simon Dell's work. ⤵️ Find a link to the story in the comments.

Great work Rebecca Atanassova, Children’s Book Author ! Did you bring me some cheese?

I stopped in at one of my favorite shops in Eugene, OR to ask if they would consider carrying our book, George The Mouse in a Log Pile House. The lovely lady I spoke with is a fan and follower of George the Mouse in a log pile house (and has a British husband!). She would be glad to share our book with her manager. We thank you for your kindness and consideration! George the Mouse
