We’re excited to welcome Eunmee Chung as one of the newest artists at Torpedo Factory Art Center.

Eunmee Chung studied Art in Metal at the College of Fine Arts at Hongik University in Seoul, Korea, earning both her BFA and MFA, before completing a second MFA in Studio Art at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her work has been exhibited internationally, with over 20 solo exhibitions across the United States, Korea, Japan, and the United Kingdom, and participation in more than 200 group exhibitions worldwide.

Chung’s sculptures and installations explore human emotion and environmental issues through environmentally conscious materials, incorporating jewelry, photography, and mixed media. Her work is held in notable collections including the Wustum Museum of Fine Arts (Wisconsin) and the Hiko Mizuno College Museum (Tokyo).

In addition to her studio practice, Chung has served as president, adviser, and board member of the Han-Mee Artists Association in Washington, D.C., and has taught at Montgomery College. She is currently working as a full-time artist.

Please join us in welcoming Eunmee to the Torpedo Factory community.
