Hello loves!
I wanted to end my time of non posting here on IG and give yall a little update. Its been four and a half months and I am feeling pretty good these days. Though my brain isn’t 100% yet, its getting there!
And - I finally got to throw some pots at the studio today!!!!

I am obsessed and there’s more to this photo than meets the eye. A little teenie secret of sorts! But in the best way, hopefully.
This long break and a whole mess of life craziness has me feeling like its time for a lil change in my work. A stirring in my soul thats been brewing for quite sometime. The last few years have continuously reiterated to me that life is short and fleeting and staying stuck, not living with passion and not branching out doesn’t serve any of us. So I’m quite literally “throwing”caution to the wind and trying out a whole lot of ideas that I’ve been ruminating on for years, actually. The passion that I feel with my hands in clay has been continuous and the core of what makes me whole. That passion has had many iterations over the years. But i feel strangely more alive in my little mud brain than ever before and the little fire in my kiln shaped heart is huge and consuming me in all the best ways. So I don’t quite know what will come of all of this yet but i am hoping its a good change! I don’t want to jinx it, so I won’t reveal too much. Stay tuned!

Also, if you made it this far and also make cone six work, I am looking for a fool proof cone six white slip recipe. Many years ago I changed my work because I had a ton of issues with my white slip. I don’t want to go through that again! If you would be so kind, please holler at me with your magical tried and true white dip slips!!! 🫶
