Who’s up for a fun day? Then plan on participating in the 5th annual Spike Heck Tractor Ride on September 5th. Plus the proceeds go to a good cause. Each each year the Mercer County Fair Board in conjunction with the Spike Heck family awards a $1,000 scholarship to seniors who plan on attending a trade school, jr. college or 4 year college with an emphasis in agriculture so be sure to watch for more information and check with your counselor next spring.

So put it on your calendar .

Unfortunately we have to cancel the Truck and Tractor Pull due to the rain, we were hopeful we wouldn't have to, BUT the carnival rides are still going, the food stands are open, the Merchant's Building and Expo Hall are open until 8, AND Levi Kraft/Far Out 283 are going to be playing at the beer tent from 8:00 to midnight! So come on out!

Night of Destruction is finally here. We will be providing shuttle service to the grandstand. Watch for the 3 pickup locations. One next to the Exposition Building, one on the west end of the grandstand and one southeast of the Pavilion/Shelter House. Watch for the signs.

Your Mercer County Fair Board is ready for this years fair and looking forward to seeing you there. Make sure you check out our new photo opportunity area and feel free to enjoy taking your photos there. Come one night or every night for the free grandstand events and check out our website for all the other events and activities.

Calling all Seniors and anyone else that likes to play Bingo on Thursday, July 9 at the Mercer County Fair. All ages welcome. Bingo, lunch, fun and prizes. Bingo. 10:00 - 11:00, lunch 11:00 - noon, and more Bingo noon - 1:00. And there’s also the Exposition Building will open at 11:00 that day so you can enjoy looking at all the exhibits.

Hope everyone is busy getting their projects ready for fair. The deadline for mailing in your entries has past but you can still take them to the fair office this weekend until Friday. The office is open noon to 4:00 so don’t miss out. And make sure you stop by the Exposition Building and see all the wonderful displays during the fair. The building is open Wednesday - Saturday noon to 8PM

What do you do with your Saturdays? The Mercer County Fair Board spends them working getting ready for the 2026 fair. Beautifying the grounds, rebuilding the ticket booth, and new this year installing ceiling fans in the grandstand just to name a few. Also a big thank you to our many sponsors who help make this possible. Make sure you add the Mercer County Fair to your calendar.

Tell us something we don’t already know. Mercer County has the cutest kids around. So make sure you enter your 3 years and under pictures in the Baby Photo Contest at the Mercer County Fair. And don’t forget about the Decorated Diaper Contest and the Baby Crawl Competition . Events start at 2:00 Saturday, July 11 at the pavilion.
