It's done! I finished the Samplemaker Quilt. It is wool applique on flannel fabric. All hand stitched and hand guided custom quilting. I stitched this 2023 and finally found the time and energy to get it done. Thank you to and for an amazing design.

I finished this quilt top almost 2 years ago. The pattern is The Samplemaker a block of the month for 2023. It is wool applique on flannel all stitched by hand. I am really glad to be getting to this, but the quilting is slow. The first picture is with the light on directly over the stitching area. Due to the dark gray fabric and thread it is hard to see where the stitching has been done. The solution is to place a floor lamp to the side and cast the light across the fabric creating a shadow so I can see where to stitch. I also have to do this with white backgrounds on quilts.

I can't believe I had not shared this quilt. It is a temperature quilt. Each little block represents the high and low temperature for each day of the year 2023. Yes, 365 blocks that are less than 3" square. Each color represents 5 degrees on the thermometer. The label on the back shows the temperature chart.

I had to get one more fall quilt in before I put up my Christmas tree. The pattern is Color Patch Cascade quilt using Slow Stroll fabric. It measures 44 x 56. I custom quilted 14 different designs diagonally through the small squares and echo quilted around the motifs in the large squares. All the leftover squares were pieced to put the back together.
