How about a throwback video. 13 years ago I was bagging courses (300-400 new courses per year) as I worked various seasonal jobs and collected unemployment in the winter (most course collecting was done between November and April). I had a blog (buskingtheworld, no longer exists) and did quite a few video montages like this.

Note that future vlogs will certainly contain footage of playing, but will be more focused on content, interviews and such.

This one was fun for me to watch. I haven't watched many of these for ages, so it's fun to watch how I used to play, fun to see Forest (namesake of my company) and of course it's fun to see these courses that no longer exist in this form.

What are some things that a content creator might need that isn't obvious? We've slowly been acquiring things over the last year or so knowing we wanted to work towards more content (not necessarily that we were going to go for it full time, but that's where we are :) )

Anyway we've got a dedicated phone for video, as well as a go pro, a tripod and gimbal, dedicated Mac for editing, dual microphones, and probably a few other things I'm not thinking of right off.

Those that have done this before, what are we not thinking of? Or any secret items that will be helpful moving forward?

(Pic for attention from a quick 9 I bagged yesterday)

Thanks!!

Thank you to all the new followers!! Up to 200 in just 2 days!

I will ask this question regularly throughout the life of this page to get various ideas from people as we get more followers, and as opinions change, and more are formed.

What would you consider a "Treasure of Disc Golf" in your own community?

Eventually some of these ideas will make it into the vlog, but for now, let's just open up the discussion. Thanks!

We'll call this one practice, getting the feel for a new video editor on a new computer (first time ever using a Mac). Originally I published it on my old YouTube channel (runawaytornado for those interested), I wasn't going to share here until I had a better production model down. But I decided since this was the very beginning, and people might want to look back through and see how far we've come, here it is, our first vlog entry.

Our first Treasure of Disc Golf is Nellie's or more specifically the cave on the property. Nellie's is an amazing course with wonderful owners that graciously hosted is in their yard for a couple nights after we left the Conrad's place. The cave is behind one of the holes towards the end (hole 15 maybe?), and is a fairly easy drive then walk to get there.

I've heard that sometimes Matt brings baskets down here, but for our adventure it was just a little exploration.

I know you've heard it so often that the phrase gets glossed over, but especially as a brand new channel every bit helps, so click that subscribe button, give the video a like, and share with your friends. Thank you!!

Enjoy as Chanté and Matt head underground.

Welcome to Treasures of Disc Golf.

We are Matt Sime and Chanté Jero. You may know us from Treasures of the Forest. We are heading into our second year of touring alongside the Disc Golf Pro Tour and other notable events -
This page is created as an extension of our usual tour travels. Here we will be focused on the adventure, travel, and exploration of a wide variety of disc golf focused areas.

What is a Treasure of Disc golf - It is any aspect of this sport that I feel deserves the spotlight. I will be conducting interviews of artists, course owners, course designers, business owners, players, and otherwise unique individuals. We will be exploring and highlighting epic courses, unique businesses, different events and experiences within the realm of disc golf.

We are open to suggestions and feedback. What do you think a treasure of disc golf is? What should we highlight? Who should I interview? What events should we feature? Where should we travel to next?!

Join us as we explore and learn different aspects of van life and share the adventures we experience while living on the road!
