Good morning,
This past Saturday was the second show of the 2026 5 show series.

Open Results:Riding the Open Short Go ~ Vanessa Chavez, Toby Orona, Sammi Orona, Brenda Busick and James Eguires.
1st - Vanessa Chavez with a total of 23 head on an adjusted time of 170.71
2nd - Toby Orona with a total of 22 head on an adjusted time of 159.22
3rd - Sammi Orona with 17 head on an adjusted time of 111.96
Fast time in the Open round 1 was Brenda Busick and Toby Orona with 9 head on 59.06

Beginning Ranch Hand Results:
1st - Andrew Varela and Tammy Jorgenson with 72.75 on 8 head.
2nd - Andrew Varela and Sofia Ascosta with 72.55 on 7 head

Amateur Results:Riding the short go~ Michelle Moyers, Travis Driscoll, Mark Brkhauser, Nathan Daughetee and Kathy Jorgenson.

The short go in the AM class was one never before seen! There was only 1 team that held those critters on their own side of the gate, Travis Driscoll and Michelle Moyers. They successfully sorted 3 head in an adjusted time of 55.54.

Because there was only one team that had a cow count and this class is a cumulative count class, we combined the first and second place checks and split them between Travis and Michelle. The third through fifth place checks were combined and split equally between the other three riders.
Fast time in the Amateur round one was Nathan Daughetee and Jessica Lestyk with 10 head in an adjusted time of 43.03.

4 RIde Pick / Draw Results:
1st place team was Junior Wellito and Prajeres Chavez with 10 head on an adjusted time of 48.70.
2nd place team was Junior Wellito and Vanessa Chavez with 10 head on 58.41.

Good morning,

We'd like to invite you to join us at the next Time On Ten Productions ranch sorting at the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Posse arena in north Albuquerque.

We have 5 classes, Open, Amateur, Novice that are all draw classes with 8 rides. The top 5 riders will come back for a short go. These classes are cumulative cattle/time. Rider with the fastest time in the shortest amount of time wins! Beginning Ranch Hand class is a maximum of 5 teams, fastest team wins. The final class of the day is a Pick/Draw class. Maximum of 4 teams, one team must be a draw. Fastest team wins.

The Open class starts at 9am. Class order will be Open, BRH, Amateur, Novice, Pick Draw. Books close Wednesday, Aug 19, 7:00pm.

This year our shows have a new format. We have an Open, Amateur and Novice class that are 8 ride draw with the top 5 riders returning in the short go for each class, as well as a 4 ride Pick Draw class.

Yesterday was the first Ranch Sorting show of the 2026 Season.

Hi there!

Happy 4th of July!

Attached is the final flyer for the 2026 Sorting Shows.

We have a different format than we have in the past. There is a flat fee for each of the Open, Amature and Novice classes. Each of these classes will be a draw 8, with the top 5 riders coming back for a short go of 4 more rides. These 3 classes are cumulative, and the rider with the most cows in the least time will take the class.

The Beginning Ranch Hand class will be a pick/draw class with a maximum of 5 teams, each team with a new partner. The fast time team will win the class.

We have added an additional class to the roster this year, a Pick/Draw class. The rider ratings will be a maximum of 12. In this class you can pick up to 3 partners with one mandatory draw team. This class has a maximum of 4 teams per person, and the fast time teams will split the $$$.

All classes, except BRH, will have an over/under handicap time.

There will be no arena or cattle fees added to the entries this year. Each class will pay a minimum of 3 places.

I have been working for several months with the SortArena software provider on a new format, and at the moment they are not sure if it will be ready to go live in time. If it isn't, we will figure out the pay schedule right before the class and will announce the payouts, so be ready to ignore what the Sidekick app says are the amounts of the checks.

Please note that there has been a change in the fall dates as I was asked by another group if I could switch weekends with them so they could have a 2 day roping.
