For our final look back at 2026/2027, we're highlighting the Fellowship and artist professional development services. This past year, we hosted the 2nd annual Youth Creatives Fellowship, which provides high school juniors and seniors with a 3-day intensive over Spring Break that helps them learn the basics of launching their own arts business. They learned skills, networked with peers and professionals, and now have a jump-start in launching their own business. We also offered several arts-business workshops and even launched our first-ever webinar! Also, for those of you wondering, we are going to bring back our Adult Fellowship in the winter- so keep an eye out!

This past year was filled with incredible art, artists, and a celebration of everything that makes Albuquerque creative! We look forward to another year of working with local artists and helping make Albuquerque a more beautiful and vibrant place to live.

2026/2027 was a big year for Growth Hub, our program that provides supportive programs for artists and arts organizations. We supported arts organizations through grant writing and research, strategic planning, and more. Artists received marketing and branding services to help them grow their practice. We also grew our fiscal sponsor program which allows artist collectives, like Theatre 3 , to access grants and donations under our 501(c)3 umbrella (pro tip: you can visit the "Fiscally Sponsored Partners" page on our website to donate to Theatre 3 or any of our fiscally sponsored projects!).

All-in-all, we supported 25 artists and arts organizations with crucial services to help them grow and focus on what they do best: making some incredible art!

"Students are more motivated and excited to participate, especially those who are usually quieter or disengaged during traditional lessons.” That's what one teacher said about our smART Classrooms programming. Through our partnerships with APS Visual and Performing Arts and ABC Community School Partnership , we brought arts programming to 3,665 students and 839 family/community members.

The program not only increased access to fun, engaging arts education, but it also supported academics, attendance, and graduation rates. We know that art education is NOT a luxury, but essential to student success.

Continuing our look back at last year- the 2026 Funny Fiesta was the biggest yet! Over 3,200 attendees came out to see 100+ artists perform across 30+ shows. Albuquerque legend Marc Maron headlined, but the festival really highlighted local comedy. That included the fest's first-ever musical: Pearl, written and directed by local improv and performer extraordinaire, Nan Kossar

Did you know in 2025/2026, Arts Hub's programming reached over 7,000 people right here in ABQ!? That includes young people experiencing arts education, community members enjoying laughs at the Funny Fiesta, and artists taking workshops and connecting with one another.
