It's been a VERY long time since I've created on a regular basis, posted and done a craft show. So, here's a little creation, this post and info about the craft show too!

I have not posted in such a long time, it feels weird to getting back to doing so. The last few years have been hard on us all due to covid. I have also been dealing with having a broken wrist (Halloween 2020) and complications from it. I am just now healing from a 2nd surgery but do finally have use of left hand (dominant) to be able to create again!
That said, I am working for a wonderful Hallmark chain in Albuquerque and they have given me a fantastic case to display/sell my jewelry from. I will not be returning to any craft shows moving forward. So if you would like to see what's new from me, please come into Karen's Hallmark located @ 9311 Coors Blvd NW, Suite D, 87114. Located right next to Ross.
Please feel free to touch base with any questions and I hope to see some of you come out to not only see my work but to check out this Hallmark location, it's brand new and we are getting new stock all the time!

After a crazy long wait for the elastic to make these, I had a very productive Saturday! So, I have some friends and family getting some protective gear! Today I'm gonna have a little more fun and do one w buttons for me! Yeah! Yes, I will make them to sell, just send me a dm and we can sort out the details if interested.

Hey Everyone! A little blurb about me and my button biz and where you can find my stuff for the month of November!

Every month in my Geek Inspirations shop I will be featuring an artist/crafter of the month! This month I’m proud to have Buttons and Baubles on display and for sale. Here’s a quick spotlight on Jennifer George, the creative mind behind this unique business!

Most people end up calling me The Button Lady, which is great because that means that they remember me but my name is Jennifer George and I am the sole designer, creator and inspiration behind Buttons and Baubles. My business is mainly one of a kind button jewelry pieces but since I'm inspired by lot of things you will find some more 'regular' jewelry pieces tossed in the mix at times too, hence the Baubles part of my business. I think we all need to have 'baubles' to give us that little something extra whenever we feel we need a pick me up!
My button obsession started when I was a teenager and I made my first button jewelry piece. I found these amazingly beautiful but simple buttons in an Amish store where I grew up in Pennsylvania. I didn't start to go totally button crazy until later in life when my health derailed and I ended up out of work and on disability. I have always had my hands in lot of creative cookie jars and desperately needed an outlet for it when I found myself home with a lot of time on my hands and not able to do a lot of anything physically. I happened to find bags of buttons for sale and bought a bunch of them and started to play around and now here I am 12 years later still loving buttons and making button jewelry! I love how limitless the options are and how much I find myself inspired to do with them.
I work with both new and vintage buttons. One of my favorite things is to create pieces for people who have their Mom or Grandma's button box or collection and no idea what to do with it! Just come see me and I can help you sort out what to do with them! I can be found on both Facebook (Buttons and Baubles) and Instagram (buttonsnbaubles) at this moment. A website is forthcoming and currently under construction and will be announced as soon as it's ready to go.For the month of November I can be found at Geek Inspirations shop in Edgewood.
