I Can Relate: 12 years a slave, shaccles on feet & legs. Daughter growin up in pictures, I ain't never get to see her grades. Held her once, she don't remember, but that's a moment I won't never trade. Kept it together, but afterwards couldn't even eat my treys. Another weight upon my shoulders, kept it pushin had to be a soulja. Kept my composure, tucced my feelings & watched my heart get colder. Loved once upon a time, but lost love facin betrayal while bein loyal. Callin home, family & friends dyin, no goodbyes, memories buried in that soil. Momma sicc, granny gettn older too. Pops got hit, gave'em life, hate that he gotta struggle too. Lil bro graduated, gettin married, broken home so we ain't comin through. Certified, résumé stamped never broke a rule. So I relate, I'm obligated to try & teach the youth. It gets dark but there's a lamp you ain't gotta worry bout misleading you ! .G

A Prayer For The Trenches:

"Lord, protect the homies still tryna find peace where there ain't none,
Guide'em through the streets because nowadays there's less real than fake ones.
As they walk through the trenches surrounded by death,
Let'em fear no struggle & come up out of it blessed,
Till that day comes, help'em through all of their steps,
bringin guidance to all of their sets.
Cuz unity's what it takes to make one,
Overcoming the chains is when you know that we won.
We all Community based,
knowin that pain & poverty has made our communities shake,
I pray, that faith is the lottery won that'll make our community great.
Break bread & carry that cross, for the hood to be saved,
you gotta be nailed to the stake,
For your sake, I pray today all of you stay safe & and are overcome by Grace.

I'm a product of the trenches, prime example you can make it. I was lost up in that valley, now I'm walkin tryna save it. Gang Bangin's where He found me, had to get it off the pavement. Bar none, faded all, never ran, still needed God to come & save me. Used to pray for a blessin, every time I got in trouble. Not knowin there's a lesson, when endurin all yo struggles. I was stressin till I got the message you can walk on top of puddles. Ain't no faith without the works, gotta grind the same I used to hussle. God first, family before the rest. This verse broke a curse, I den made it through my test. New Armor New Weapons cuz belief became my vest. No more pourin out the liquor, only oil so the streets can stay blessed !
