Odd City: An Immersive Odyssey

The Odd City Arts Collective, based in Albuquerque, NM, is thrilled to debut Odd City: An Immersive Odyssey at SOMOS ABQ 2018 (www.somosabq.com). Loosely based on The Odyssey by Homer, our nearly 900-square-foot installation includes a 19-foot-tall art deco lighthouse, a kinetic boat, an interactive LED light bridge and a garden chill zone with sod-covered, leaf-canopied loungers. We’ve also incorporated immersive theater and projection mapping. Step inside this oasis of oddness and begin to unravel the enigmatic story of Dr. Odd, our modern-day Odysseus, who we find on a small, coastal island. Also, make sure to go into the lighthouse (which can fit 4-7 people) and look upward!
