We are so excited to have Ezekiel Gomez join our team as our Programs & Events Liaison!! 🖤
Ezekiel is a community events planner with over ten years of experience in the hospitality industry. They cultivated a deep passion for creating lasting memories through vibrant event programs centered on community engagement, shared meals, and the belief that everyone deserves safety in expression, celebration, and mourning. Working with a wide range of community organizations, institutions, local artists, and makers has instilled in them a deep commitment to dynamic collaboration rooted in trust and authenticity.
Ezekiel believes that event coordination is a collaborative performance art—one that unites the varied talents of collaborators through a deeply rooted strand of the human experience: gathering together to honor the beauty and fragility of life itself.
Ezekiel is also a burgeoning writer and poet focused on illuminating the complex interiority of the millennial q***r experience. Through non-fiction writing they explore the powerful influence of film and pop culture on how we see, discover, and understand ourselves and the world around us. A voracious cinephile and culture savant, Ezekiel delights in their chaotic taste in music, loves reading and getting lost in wiki-wormholes, and enjoys experimenting with floral arrangements, collage, and digital art. They are especially passionate about uplifting and encouraging artists, particularly those still learning to recognize the power of their own talents.
In their role at Harwood, Ezekiel is thrilled to bring their passion for event planning to create unforgettable experiences for event rental clients, help studio artists feel at home through dedicated support and care, and contribute to Harwood’s beautiful and essential mission of making art accessible to all.
