Jobs I should have said "no" to.
33 hours later... and it doesn't look like I did anything, which really was the goal. An early 1900's, small, stained, 3 legged table a client asked to have refinished. It has a lot of sentimental value. The original mahogany veneer was chipping off from water damage. And it had a layer of poplar veneer underneath that, which was also removed. A quarter inch thick layer of solid mahogany was then added to replace the original 2 layers of veneer on top. The top is trimmed out with 11 total, cut, routered pieces of mahogany that also had to be removed and refinished, and then reattached. And lastly, the contoured edge all the way around the underside of the perimeter had to be hand sanded back to its original shape.
I probably could have built a new table faster than I could have repaired this one. This is one of the hardest jobs I've ever taken on.
