𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗠𝗰𝗡𝗲𝗶𝗹: 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗵 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗲

Ramah Lake—near Gallup and Zuni—is a desert oasis created for irrigation over 150 years ago by early settlers of Ramah village. Tucked between tall ridges of red-and-white layered sandstone, the lake now enhances the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. Mark, who spent seven years of his childhood in Ramah, brings a personal connection to this quiet, striking place.

𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗔𝗺𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱
𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗔𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 (𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱)

A windy-day foray at White Sands National Park transformed from the flattest light she’d ever seen into amazing textures glowing under tangerine storm light. After wandering and wondering if any contrast would emerge (retinal floaters are not reliable guides), this moment revealed itself. Wings Afire has since become a new favorite in Amy’s ongoing wide-angle White Sands series—an exploration of finding her place between the sharp and the soft.

In late summer, Martin Pyykkonen turns New Mexico’s iconic chile harvest into a visual study of color, texture, and tradition. He photographs local chiles as they shift from green to deep red—capturing the full “Christmas chile” transformation that defines the season. These vibrant images showcase bold, striking compositions and are available in a variety of sizes and mediums at the gallery.
