FUSION ABQ

FUSION ABQ FUSION is a multi-venue center for arts & culture in Downtown ABQ and home to FUSION Theatre Company by the American Theatre Wing.

FUSION, home to the FUSION Theatre Company, is a center for arts and culture in Downtown Albuquerque. Our multi-venue, 35,000 square foot campus hosts live music, dance, comedy, theater, and film screenings. With three stages and both indoor and outdoor event spaces, FUSION is thrilled to host a full schedule of community events and diverse performances in 2022! An anchor of the Downtown Albuquerq

ue Arts & Cultural District, the FUSION campus includes The Cell, the 708 building, and The Meadow. Opening spring 2022, The Meadow is our new outdoor performance and event space, which will host concerts, performances, and community events. The Cell, the original home of FUSION Theatre Company, is finding new life this year as we welcome a coffee shop, commercial kitchen space, and recording studio space. 708 houses our beautifully renovated current performance and gallery spaces, as well as offices and meeting rooms. FUSION is home base for New Mexico's only professional regional theatre company, named “one of the ten most promising emerging theatre companies in the U.S." Founded in 2001, FUSION Theatre Company has been an Equity House since formation and is the longest-lived theatre company in New Mexico's history. Performing in Albuquerque and throughout the state, the company has brought celebrated productions to stages large and small. FUSION Theatre Company will return to the stage this spring with the audience favorite, The Seven, our annual short works festival. Building on our dedication to community partnership, in 2017 FUSION began an economic development project that provides co-operative office, meeting, culinary, rehearsal, and performance spaces. As a partner organization for the Urban Enhancement Trust Fund Programs’ Resiliency Residency program, FUSION serves as fiscal sponsor and host for 18 resident artists. FUSION also serves as fiscal sponsor to a variety of fledgling community organizations, sharing resources to nurture the growth of healthy arts and culture in Albuquerque. FUSION’s mission is to incite global empathy through storytelling, positively impacting the human race. We are dedicated to professional excellence, community-inspired creative space, and the inspiration of our children, the genesis of our future. Join us this year and enjoy a packed schedule with concerts, community markets, and theatrical performances!

Homelessness impacts our entire community, creating a ripple of instability and generational challenges. NMYAA Cuentistas depict the reality that homelessness can reach anyone, whether a mother, an elder, a soldier, a teenager, or a family. This semester, they told their stories while learning the art of mural-making with local muralist Francisco LeFebre.

Opening Reception: Friday, June 5, 5–7 PM

After opening, this exhibit will be on view during public FUSION events or by appointment from June 5–30. To schedule a visit, Email FUSION. Opening Reception: Friday, June 5, from 5–7 PM as part of The ABQ Artwalk and First Friday ARTScrawl.
