The Matchbox Theater Company PRIVATE CLASSES ONLY! Once a thriving theater-stage/film/tv acting school in ABQ (1994-98), and later in Minneapolis (2000-2020).

It resurfaced again in ABQ during COVID with its last production, THE B***Y TRAP, at FUSION’s Cell Theatre, Dec. 8-18, 2022 Matchbox Theater Company is non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization registered in the State of New Mexico We provide profession acting training in Film/TV/Stage and produce and perform theatrical productions periodically in Albuquerque, NM.

Don’t miss FUSION ABQ’s fun international short play festival! It’s a great celebration of new playwrights featuring NM actors! Get your tickets while you can. This is a popular event…now in its 20th year!!!

THE SEVEN is one of the nation’s premiere new short works festivals. It features seven fully produced world premieres, utilizing seven different directors and a professional ensemble cast. The scripts are read by a jury of theatre professionals (blindly, without any identification of the playwright), and the seven highest scoring scripts will be produced. This year, the jury will select from scripts based on the theme: “The Heart of the Matter.”

This production will run June 4–7. Performances will be held at FUSION | 708 in downtown Albuquerque. Performances are Thursday & Friday at 7 PM, Saturday at 2 PM & 7 PM, and Sunday at 2 PM.

The winners will be announced soon!
