We hope you'll join us this Sunday at 6:02pm for another journey into the unknown from our friend Patricia Keiller - "The Amersham Chronicles."

This Sunday, we hope you’ll join us for a very different kind of production - "I Wish this was a Play About a Giant Toad," at 6:02pm.

"I Wish This Was A Play About A Giant Toad" is a raw, anarchic exploration of grief, friendship, and memory. Through a kaleidoscopic narrative and a dynamic ensemble of seven performers, the play examines the fragmented landscapes of loss and human connection.

With visceral language, bold theatricality, and original music by Joseph Wood, this immersive work confronts the messy, grotesque, and tender truths of being alive. Written and directed by Natasha Biggs for David Crutchley, it is a heartfelt dedication that asks us to hold space for grief while celebrating the absurdity and beauty of existence. Low lights and headphones encouraged, but not required.

Stay tuned after the production for our interview with Biggs and Wood.

Radio Theater airs on 89.9 KUNM FM at 6:02pm on Sundays. Listen globally at www.kunm.org. The show is available after air date from our two week archive on the website.

We hope you'll join us this Sunday evening at 6:02 pm, when we present "Pony for Sean" by Patricia Keiller

The setting: The Clondalkin area of Dublin, Ireland in 1997. In this working class part of Dublin, horse ownership has become almost like a rite-of-passage for the many young teens living there, and the only escape from high unemployment - and all the problems associated with it. From Patricia Keiller and Daniel French at Fishbonius Sound Design.

We'll also feature a bonus short production from Chatterbox Audio Theater.

Coming up this Sunday - an Edgar Allen Poe double feature - “The Black Cat” from Greg Schmidt.

Greg Schmidt is the creator and owner of the Iowa Renaissance Festival and its parent company Festivals International. He’s had poetry published in two issues of Lyrical Iowa and various other print journals. He wrote and directed the episodes in the Bueno Gang Kids movie series. He’s a co-creator and head writer of the in-development TV series “Science Cops”, and he’s developing a BritBox type of comedy streaming series set in the Amana Colonies. His radio drama adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Black Cat” aired nationally as an NPR Playhouse Halloween special in 1987.

We’ll also pair this with Poe’s “A Tell Tale Heart” from Radio Theater favorite, Chatterbox Audio Theater.
