Daenerys Targaryen, Mother of Dragons Portrait

Well, this is a pencil drawing of Daenerys Targaryen from the show Game of Thrones. I am a big fan of the book, TV series, and also the character. My pencil of choice for drawing is the Papermate mechanical style; I believe it's a graphite lead. You can drop so much of the graphite onto the paper, and the dark areas just look great. I like to use the paper blending sticks and sometimes a Q-tip to spread and blend the graphite. Nothing too complicated with the drawing, I suppose I like to start simple and work the entire piece. Adding in dark areas always seems to bring a drawing to life. About me, I am a digital artist that likes to work traditional drawing as well. I have been working on a short story/graphic novel and am always looking for artists to network with. Copyright stuff on the image - I drew this picture of Daenerys Targaryen years back, and found the photo in a Google search. I am the creator of this drawing.

Covid Pandemic Still Life

I'm always looking for new twists on subjects, so i tried to emulate an old style still life (dark, broody, crackled paint) with an unexpected modern twist, so i decided to capture a slice of time when we couldn't leave home without the mask and hand sanitizer in addition to the keys, wallet, phone. Even though I had the idea back during covid, it took me a few years to start then finally finish the painting.

Honey Bee

I had seen watercolors of bees that other people had done and thought it would be interesting to try one. I found a resource photo to help me. It turned out way better than I thought it would. I used a metallic paint over a thin wash of yellow on the wings. That turned out really cool.
