Our 2026 Miss Edwards County Fair Queen, Ashlyn Weaver made it to Springfield today for County Fair Day at the Illinois State Fair! Thank you Ashlyn for representing Edwards County! What Generosity!

Today we had the privilege of meeting with Brian and Shelby Schwierjohn to personally deliver the funds raised during our fundraiser at The Edwards County Fair

Shelby, an Edwards County native, recently experienced the unimaginable loss of her youngest child. In the face of such heartbreak, the people of Edwards County showed exactly what this community is all about.

Because of your incredible generosity, we were able to present the Schwierjohn family with $9,069 to help with expenses during this difficult time.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who stopped by, left a tip, made a donation, or simply shared words of encouragement. Every dollar and every act of kindness made a difference.

We are honored that The Smokin’ Pig can serve as more than just a food truck. Thank you for allowing us to be an avenue for giving when our friends, neighbors, and community members need it most.
