I’m sad to announce that Barn Wood & Brushstrokes is closing. Our last day of business will be February 24th. It’s been a hard decision, but I’ve found myself in a season of life where it’s time for me to go in a new direction.
I’m so grateful for the support I’ve received from our community since opening in 2016. My favorite part has been having people of all ages come in to paint with friends and family. The joy and creativity I got to witness is really special to me.
I’ve also enjoyed the home decor side of this business. Finding and repurposing pieces that become part of people’s homes has been so rewarding. Melissa and I still love a good “junk” trip so we plan to continue to provide pieces next door at The Dotted Daisy.
Thank you Sheila, Shannon, Janelle, Brooke, and Sydney for sharing so much of your time and talent here. You all added so much to this business. Thank you Melissa, Kelly, and Jill for providing beautiful consignment pieces. Thank you Sean, Logan, Caleb, Ben, Kenzie, Sam, Mom, Dad, Betsy, and Ron for helping to renovate the building and for helping in countless other ways. Thank you Joan for providing this initial opportunity.
There’s still time to stop in for a final project and to use up gift certificates in the next few weeks. Gift certificates can also be used for to-go pottery. Contact me at 402-741-1120 with questions or to make special arrangements. Watch my page for extended hours.
My hope is that many of you have a piece or two of Barn Wood pottery that makes you smile and brings back a happy memory. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the amazing support. ❤️

We will be open this Saturday (2/4/23) 9am-noon!

I’m excited to announce that we have a little pop-up shop joining us on Saturday. Valentine’s Sweets by Alamea Barnes… if you didn’t get a chance to try her delicious treats when she was here before Christmas then this is you chance! I can’t wait!

Also this Saturday is the first day of our bag sale. I have been clearing out old inventory to make room for all the new stuff we found at Market. To make room I have moved all the old inventory over to the Barn Wood & Brushstrokes side. Over there you can fill a bag for $20. Trust me when I say there is TONS of stuff to pick from!

So grab some friends and come shopping! See you Saturday!

Then Mistletoe Market is on Saturday 9am-1pm, we will have some awesome vendors set up in The Dotted Daisy and in Barn Wood & Brushstrokes. I‘m so excited to see what they all bring!

So many fun things going on downtown tomorrow…. The Dotted Daisy coffee, Fall Pop-Up Shop, Highway 14 Boutique Hop, and Timeless Floral’s 7th Anniversary Sale! Melissa and I are so excited to put out the new treasures we’ve been collecting and refurbishing! We’re also open for painting 9:00-2:00. We hope to see you!🌻
