Calling all directors and aspiring directors!
The Uwharrie Players is hiring directors for all shows in upcoming 2027 season. This is a paid position. Interested parties please email your resume to [email protected] by 9/4.

April 2027: The Savannah Sipping Society by Jones Hope Wooten - in this delightful comedy, four unique, southern women needing to escape the sameness of their day-to-day routines are drawn together by fate and an impromptu happy hour.

July 2027: School of Rock the Musical by Julian Fellowes, Glenn Slater, and Andrew Lloyd Webber - this rock musical follows a guitarist named Dewey Finn, who poses as a substitute teacher at a strict prep school where he secretly turns his students into a rock band to compete in Battle of the Bands.

November 2027: Having Hope at Home by David S. Craig - in this light hearted comedy, a pregnant woman hides her labor during a chaotic, multi-generational family dinner party.
