Today our graduating seniors at MKSD will be taking their final bows on the stage, and we wanted to take a moment to honor them!

Our final graduate is Emma Furr! Emma is the daughter of Tanya Furr and Michael Furr and she graduated from West Stanly High School this month. While there, Emma was part of the Beta Club and the National Technical Honor Society, and she was also a very dedicated varsity cheerleader all four years of high school. As a Junior Member of Carolina Dance Masters, Emma received the Junior Member College Scholarship this year, and she has also served as the Vice President and President of the organization. Next year, she plans to attend Stanly Community College to pursue a degree in Radiography, and we are so excited that Emma plans to continue dancing at MKSD next year while she continues her education at SCC ❤️

We have had the honor of teaching Emma at MKSD since 2012, where she made her debut as a Christmas Ornament in our production of Beauty and the Beast that following spring. We are so very proud of the stunning dancer that Emma has grown into today - please join us in celebrating her and all of her accomplishments!

Today our graduating seniors at MKSD will be taking their final bows on the stage, and we wanted to take a moment to honor them!

Next, we are celebrating Jameson Lisk! Jameson is the daughter of Shannon and Ben Lisk and she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Stanly Virtual Education on May 21st after attending Gray Stone Day School, while also being dual enrolled at Stanly Community College. On top of her education, she has also worked as a dedicated Veterinary Receptionist and Veterinary Assistant since last summer. Jameson will graduate next May from Stanly Community College with an Associates in Science and hopes to attend Veterinary Technician school following that. Additionally, we are so excited that Jameson hopes to continue dancing with our adult class at MKSD next year while she continues her education at Stanly Community College ❤️

Today our graduating seniors at MKSD will be taking their final bows on the stage, and we wanted to take a moment to honor them!

Our next graduate is Kathryn Lowder! Kathryn is the daughter of Anna Hunter and she graduated from North Stanly High School this month. This fall, she will be going on an incredible adventure as she studies abroad in Argentina for four months, and following that she will be attending the University of South Carolina, where she will be studying Nursing! Kathryn received an $11,000 Global Citizen Scholarship, and she was a member of the National Technical Honor Society throughout high school ❤️

We have had the honor of teaching Kathryn at MKSD since 2011, where she debuted as a Mouse in our production of Cinderella that following spring. We are so very proud of the gorgeous dancer that Kathryn has grown into today - please join us in celebrating her and all of her accomplishments!

Today our graduating seniors at MKSD will be taking their final bows on the stage, and we wanted to take a moment to honor them!

Our first graduate is Gracie Hart! Gracie is the daughter of Jackie and Dennis Hart and she graduated from Stanly Early College. She will be attending East Carolina University this fall majoring in Education with a Teaching Fellows scholarship! We are so grateful to have had Gracie for an additional year of dance while she completed her Associates Degree at the Early College ❤️

We have had the honor of teaching Gracie at MKSD since 2010, where she debuted as a Pea in The Princess and the Pea. We are so very proud of the stunning dancer that Gracie has grown into today - please join us in celebrating her and all of her accomplishments!

Congratulations to MKSD’s Emma Furr - the recipient of the 2026 Carolina Dance Masters Jr Members’ College Scholarship! Emma is dedicated in all that she does, both in her dance education and in her studies outside of the studio. She is so very deserving of this award, and we could not be more proud of her.
