Standing 23 feet tall, ZARVAN explores the ancient Persian concept of infinite time through a monumental, interactive sculpture.

Inspired by the Persian embodiment of time, the sculpture incorporates digitally designed Persian carpet motifs representing order, symmetry, and the cosmos. Visitors can interact with ZARVAN through periscopes embedded in its eyes, acoustic speaking tubes within its ears, and a responsive crown that illuminates more brightly as people gather around it.

Behind the experience is a reinforced steel framework engineered for stability, wind resistance, and the demanding conditions of the Black Rock Desert. The sculpture’s interactive systems are powered by an autonomous solar system, bringing together structural engineering, technology, and cultural storytelling in one immersive work.

Had to remind everyone about the coolest piece installed in 2022: Catharsis by Arthur Mamou-Mani

Catharsis explores the relationship between humanity, nature, and transformation through a monumental spiral structure that invites visitors to move, gather, reflect, and even climb! Designed by Arthur Mamou-Mani, the installation is composed of modular, biodegradable timber elements that transform from an enclosed gathering space into an open spiral reaching toward the sky. Engineered to balance complex geometry with structural stability, Catharsis took 3 years to research and design. Catharsis was not burned at , but was taken on a tour after its debut on the playa!

4 days until Burning Man 2026!!!

Currently reminiscing on about Moonlight Library by James Gwertzman, a project we helped create last year on the playa. 🌙

The Moonlight Library explores what it means to be human through an immersive experience centered on memory, change, and our ability to author our own stories. Spanning two stories, The Moonlight Library was engineered to support its towering bookshelves and immersive architectural elements while integrating interactive lighting, sound, and technology throughout the structure. This library has a collection of over 2,000 personal stories collected from Burning Man's and the Moonlight Collective's 2022 and 2023 Prairie of Possibilities installation.

Unfortunately, Moonlight Library will not be on the playa for , but James's new project Temple of the Moon will! Stay tuned next week to see that awesome installation 😉

TITANIC by Titanic's End 🚢'

This installation transforms the iconic ship into a monumental wooden structure on the Black Rock City playa, reimagining its two sinking halves as a massive, climbable amphitheater. Spanning roughly 120 feet and rising more than 30 feet above the desert floor, TITANIC invites visitors to gather, explore, and experience the playa from within. Created by the San Francisco-based crew behind some of Black Rock City’s most iconic mutant vehicles, TITANIC reflects on humanity’s faith in technology and our relationship with the planet.

Counting down the days until !

This piece on the playa in 2019 is Jessica Levine's Internal Exposure 🧘

Made from thousands of pieces of hand cut, bent, and welded pieces of steel, Internal Exposure uses metal to draw in real space. The head standing at 11ft tall and the "petals" standing at 14ft tall, this sculpture symbolizes a "planted seed" in the mind transforming into a fully-fledged idea. Combined with the stained glass kaleidoscope eyes and shining light bulb inside, Internal Exposure encourages viewers to reflect on their own ideas and sense of self.

Take a stroll through "Passage" by James Peterson located at Redwood Park in Boise, Idaho! 🌅

This colorful public art piece was created for Boise’s Redwood Park and celebrates movement, connection, and the different paths we take through life. Clad in vibrant hues reminiscent of fruit orchards, this artwork reflects both the historical and seasonal changing colors of Redwood Park. It is made of Corten steel and acrylic, and stands at 10ft tall and 14ft wide. It was unveiled in 2025 as part of the Ustick in Bloom community celebration!✨

Check out "TKR" by Phil Proctor, commissioned by the city of Tucker, Georgia! 🚂

Installed in 2025, this steel sculpture is an artistic take on Tucker’s standard “TKR” logo and pays tribute to the city’s long railroad history. Reclaimed railroad tracks were repurposed to hold the letters in place, giving the sculpture a connection to Tucker’s past while becoming a new landmark in the community. This sculpture stands at 11.5ft tall and can be found on the Tucker Town Green! 🛤️
