Are you ready for a rock show? Coming this Sunday August 30th broadcasting free on YouTube the live premiere of the PHASE album is almost here! This orchestrated rock album was 8 long years in the works and finally came out August 1st~ this live show will contain the entire Phase album plus an extra encore treat as always. The show lands days ahead of the Sept. 1st release of The Giver and The Thief, the second album in the Red Sphere series.
The Red Sphere illustrated lyric book has been available since the beginning of the year and is finally coming to musical life with the release of the accompanying albums. It’s available in hard and soft cover on Amazon~ grab yours if you haven’t already! The next albums in the Red Sphere series will drop on the first of every month through the end of the year. And there’s an exciting short horror film music video for the single Insomnia debuting on YouTube on Sept. 11th. Good stuff ahead!
The players on this show are all top notch~ we have Ryan Brown on drums (with Rototoms!) and he is playing some magical grooves and dynamite fills. He happens to be the drummer on the studio album so it’s his handiwork on display. Ryan also played on my Green Tea & Blueberry Pie album, which we touched on at my last rock piano trio show. On bass, Murv Douglas is returning and he has proven to be a solid player who always shows up ready to rock. He and Ryan are a superb rhythm section and provide a wonderful foundation for the music.
Joining us is a string quartet helmed by acclaimed cellist Jacob Szekely, who played on the Red Sphere albums (and with Rush!) and was instrumental in raising the bar on my charts. Hearing my parts brought to life is such a thrill! Joining Jacob are Anna Kostyuchek & Megan Shung on violin plus Luke Maurer on viola. A superb quartet all around!
For harmonies we have the lovely and talented Linn Holmes, McKail Seely & Sasha Belden who brought warmth and joy to the mics. Besides being excellent musicians, each of these people are truly great people to work with and be around. Truly a great working environment to conjure the music and vibes!
As with my last shows, Pablo Lago Dantas is handling videography and editing on this multicam shoot. It takes an extraordinary amount to pull together and Pablo is a pro who has become really adept at capturing these live performances. I can’t wait for you to see what he’s put together this time!
Here is THE LINK where it went live Sunday evening. Check out the PHASE album and come see PHASE LIVE~ See you at the show!
