The Laramie Project chronicles a community's response to the 1998 murder of 21-year-old Matthew Shepard, a gay college student beaten and left to die outside Laramie, Wyoming. Matthew’s murder drew worldwide attention and shaped national conversation around bigotry and hate crimes. The script is based on over 200 interviews with Laramie residents, personal journals, and news reports. The play features eight actors who portray more than 60 characters, and has become one of the most widely performed plays in America and worldwide.
R'ville Stage Creations is a membership-based, community group dedicated to the expression and experience of the theatrical arts. Our goals are to provide a theatrical platform and educational experience for any individual to participate and thrive artistically, to enrich our community with the art of theatre, and to provide an opportunity for entertainment.

Join us for a unique guided movement journey blending music, somatics, dance, anatomy-informed movement, and community connection. SEED was born from the love and combined expertise of Isha Justyna Kostek and Alicia Ascevich, creating an experience that is healing, educational, and deeply joyful.

But their fortunes are set to change when they head to Ladies Day at the races. Factory hair nets make way for facinators as the four friends hit the races for an unforgettable day out. Secrets are spilled with the champagne, and friendships are tested to the limit. Yet as the day unfolds and tempers fray, their accumulator bet keeps quietly winning. If their luck and their nerve hold, the ladies could hit the jackpot – and more.

Our inaugural production will be A.R. Gurney’s Love Letters at the beautifully renovated 181-seat Rao Theater on the Fulton-Montgomery Community College campus.
Love Letters is a tender, tragi-comic, and nuanced examination of the shared nostalgia, missed opportunities, and deep closeness of two lifelong, complicated friends.
Sizzle & Steak Productions was founded on the premise that area audiences are looking to see shows that will excite and emotionally connect with them and feature compelling storylines, believable performances and artistic proficiency.
Beyond artistic expression, community theater is important for a variety of reasons, perhaps none more so than that it teaches folks about the importance of team building and working well with others. It also helps give all people access to arts in the Capitol Region.
It is our sincerest hope that, in our own small way, what we have created will help keep the local theater scene vibrant and thriving.

The Capital Region AAPI Youth Summit is a collaborative, youth-centered initiative that brings together Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) youth, community organizations, and advocates across the region. The summit creates a dynamic platform to uplift youth voices, foster leadership, and address key issues impacting AAPI communities, including identity, wellbeing, and civic engagement. Rooted in cross-organizational partnership, the summit reflects a growing effort to support youth through culturally responsive, community-driven approaches.
Guided by a mission to empower the next generation of AAPI leaders, the summit emphasizes the values of advocacy, resilience, and innovation, encouraging youth to engage with AAPI community, navigate challenges with strength, and contribute creative solutions that advance social change and collective wellbeing.
