Opening Reception: Saturday, September 20th from 1-4 pm

Now in its third iteration, Pint Size 3 is a national celebration of small-scale artwork that proves size is no limitation when it comes to creativity. Featuring over 250 pieces by more than 172 artists from across the country — from Arizona to New Jersey, Texas to Tennessee, Oregon to Florida, and of course, right here in California — this expansive exhibition brings together an extraordinary range of sculpture, painting, collage, drawing, and assemblage.

Each work measures no more than 7 x 7 inches for wall-mounted pieces or 8 inches high by 7 x 7 inches for free-standing works, inviting viewers to engage with the intimate, the intricate, and the unexpected.

All are welcome so please join us for the Opening Reception, Saturday, September 20th! Meet the artists and enjoy the light refreshments and lively conversation while checking out small-scale art works of all kinds - inspiring, free spirited and so much fun!

New painting!

Sunnyside
Gouache & casein, 5x7"

Sunnyside is a part of San Francisco's Glen Park neighborhood. This painting features the Detroit Steps, and a set of sweet mid-century houses in front of a triangular intersection. Also worth checking out (although not in the painting) is the Sunnyside Conservatory, a beautiful century-old greenhouse building, halfway up another cool stairway.

After doing the huge diptych, I wanted to try the other extreme. This is the first of hopefully several little 5x7 paintings that will each capture a couple of sweet stairway moments (as opposed to a longer journey like my larger paintings).

I'd love to hear what folks think of the format.
