Alamosa Live Music Association

Alamosa Live Music Association Bringing quality live music to the San Luis Valley for over two decades!

MISSION

The Alamosa Live Music Association is a dynamic, non-profit community arts organization enriching the lives of artists, audiences, and the community; and fostering economic development and tourism by providing opportunities for cultural expression through music. HISTORY

In 2001, in response to a request from the City of Alamosa to put together an outdoor music series to enhance the quali

ty of life for the citizens in Alamosa and utilize their newly acquired stage, ALMA created Sundays at Six, a free summer concert series, which soon became Alamosa’s flagship program in terms of performing arts for the community. This partnership provides 7 to 9 shows per summer with an average of 300 people attending per concert. Additionally, ALMA offers year-round programming that reflects the region’s cultural diversity, appeals to all ages, collaborates significantly with music providers (Adams State University Music Department, Crestone Music Festival, Wildwood Sounds, and Boys & Girls Clubs) throughout the San Luis Valley. ALMA promotes talented local artists as well as nationally and internationally respected performers from U.S. music centers such as Nashville, New York City, and Los Angeles; and internationally from countries such as Ghana, Pakistan, Bhutan, Senegal, and Japan.

Meyers Agency, KRZA, Monte Vista Coop, Myers Brothers Truck & Tractor, Inc., North River Greenhouse, O&V Printing, San Luis Valley Bikers, SLV Federal Bank, SLV Health, SLV REC/Ciello, Steffens Quality Plumbing & Heating, Valley-Wide Health Systems, Valley Courier, Visit Alamosa, Wall, Smith, Bateman, and Walmart. Their generous sponsorships further ALMA’s mission to bring live music to Alamosa and our Valley and will support Sundays at Six, the free summer concert series at Cole Park. A number of ALMA’s corporate sponsors (at the $600 level and up) have opted to hang a plaque of appreciation in their businesses, which are updated each year. Pictured below are some of those sponsors being recognized by ALMA this year. ALMA could not bring dynamic live music to our community without the support of generous sponsors like these.
