Hello everyone!

It's a new year and I just uploaded a new series of artwork to my Etsy site (Etsy Store: Otterbobs) which is now available for purchase! Please take a moment and review my latest pieces.

Also for the new year, I now offer all artwork in a smaller print size, 13" x 19". Each piece of artwork is available in an edition of 100.

For those of you that are local in the East Bay of the Bay Area, I currently have 2 shows up of my work at Mo'Joe Café in Berkeley and the one in Oakland. Please stop by either café, grab a coffee and take a look at my work up-close and in person.

On June 1st, at "The Local" coffee house in Alameda, I will be showing my work for the month. Come view my artwork and visit the quaint shops and restaurants along historic Park Street!

I have also recently been accepted to the Alameda Arts Association and currently hanging some of my pieces in their gallery located in the South Shore Center on Alameda Island.

Thanks everyone who came to view my show at Aunt Mary's Cafe. I had fanatic response to my work!

My show will be moving to "The Basement" in Reno Nevada on February 1st and runs through the end of the month. If you're local or just visiting Reno, please stop by The Basement and check out my work, grab a cold pressed juice from "Rawbury", and visit the cool craft shops in the newly renovated Federal post office downtown! It's a real architectural gem built in 1934 by ocal architect Frederic DeLongchamps designed in the Art Deco style. It's gorgeous!

A little about myself;

I'm a fourth generation California native, born in Newport Beach in 1967. I've lived in Huntington Beach, the Eastern Sierras, Reno, and Sacramento, Berkeley, China, France, and currently reside in Oakland. My lifelong passion of the arts, nature, and the sciences guided me to peruse a career in the animation and entertainment industry where I've been creating award winning content for over 25 years.

My personal work usually focuses on natural subjects or fantasy portraiture based on Medieval design principals. My current work takes a hard turn towards experimental abstract design. My thought process for my latest work is based on how the “micro” world makes up the lager “macro” subject, like the tiny printed dots of a newspaper or magazine photo combine to make a final image. “From subatomic particles to the expanse of the known universe, there are similarities of structure and patterns that create the world around us. The Powers of Ten. The fabric of life.”

My current work is created using digital art programs and printed with the latest archival processes. I also works with various traditional mediums like; watercolor, gouache, pastel, ink, acrylic, and photography. I hope to post some of my traditional work to my store in the coming future.

My professional experience includes feature animated films, animated television shows, video games, pharmaceutical previsualizations, and theme park production. Some of the studios I've had the honor to work with: Pixar Animation Studios, PDI/DreamWorks, LucasArts, Electronic Arts/Maxis, Atari Games, and Walt Disney Imagineering.

I attended California Institute of the Arts, Film/Video Character Animation program from 1985-89.
