Welcome to 27 powers, the creative writing community hosted by me, Laurie Wagner. A published writer for over 25 years, and a teacher to thousands of students, I offer weekly writing classes in the Northern California Bay Area for beginning and well-seasoned women writers who gather in Alameda, and in Berkeley at Teahouse Studio. What if we measured the success of our writing not by whether someone publishes it, reposts it, or it gets 1000 likes?

What if the question wasn't: Is this impressive? Will someone approve?

But instead: Is this true? Is it honest? Does it sound like me?

That's the question at the heart of our live class with poet Julia Fehrenbacher on Friday, July 24. Ninety minutes on redefining success, softening our relationship with the inner critic, and trusting what wants to move through us.
