The Ritz Theatre

The Ritz Theatre Built in 1927 as a silent nickelodeon movie house, The Ritz has seen many changes over the years. The Ritz is also available for rent. December 15th at 6pm.

Most recently, she was closed for three years and carefully renovated into her famous art deco look from the 1940s. She has, since 1971, been home to The Theatre of Gadsden, a performing arts group which presents six plays per year on The Ritz Stage. Details may be found on our website at the link on this page. This year, The Ritz is preparing to return to her cinematic roots and will begin showing movies again to an eagerly awaiting audience. The first movie on the big screen will be "Gone With The Wind" presented by the Mary G. Hardin Cultural Arts Center. See you at the show!
