The Artist. Her Tools. Her Art. 🧵🎨❤️

It all started with an empty room, a set of keys, and a dream I had carried for years. 🥹

Today, that empty room is Sew + Reimagine, a place where kids and adults come to learn, create, make mistakes, laugh, and discover what they’re capable of.

My sewing machines are my tools. 🪡

But my ART? It’s seeing someone who has never touched a sewing machine walk out of my studio holding their very first handmade project with the biggest smile on their face. 🥹💕

Every student starts with a simple pillow, but they leave with something much bigger: CONFIDENCE.

And THAT is why I love what I do. ❤️

One month ago, I closed one chapter of my life and started a new one. 🥹

On September 11, I said goodbye to my corporate career after 20 years. Not because I planned it, but because my position was eliminated.

Was I scared? ABSOLUTELY.

And honestly? I still am sometimes.

But this past month has taught me so much.

💛I CAN DO THIS. My family, my students, and my community have reminded me that I’m not doing this alone.

🧵 MY PURPOSE IS BIGGER THAN SEWING. I’m building a place where people can learn, create, make mistakes, build confidence, and feel connected.

✨ I CAN DO HARD THINGS, EVEN WHEN I’M AFRAID. I spent 20 years building my corporate career. Now it’s time to use everything I’ve learned to build something for myself.

This month has been filled with sewing classes, workshops, beautiful people, new friendships, lots of learning, and moments when I’ve had to remind myself to keep going.

I don’t have everything figured out. And maybe that’s okay.

To everyone who has booked a class, shared a post, encouraged me, or simply believed in my little business… THANK YOU. 🥹❤️

Here’s to doing it scared, following our purpose, and building something beautiful—one stitch at a time.

When your mom owns a sewing studio… Barbie gets a custom wardrobe! 😂💕🧵

My girls discovered the fabric scraps at Sew + Reimagine, and apparently, we now have TWO fashion designers in the house! ✂️✨

One minute they’re playing with Barbies… the next, they’re creating an entire fashion collection! 😂

Are the seams perfect? Nope.
Are the designs fabulous? ABSOLUTELY! 💃🧡

And the best part? They’re learning that even the smallest scraps can become something beautiful. ♻️💕

Move over, Barbie Dreamhouse. We’ve got a fashion studio! 😂🧵

But here’s something that really touches my heart. 🌈

When you support a small business like mine, you’re not just supporting my dream. You’re also supporting the dreams and future of these two little girls. 🥹💕

Thank you, Akron! ✨ Our October 17 Witch Hat Workshop is almost sold out, and I’m so grateful for this amazing community.

This made me cry today. 🥹💛

When I finally took the chance to follow my dream and open Sew + Reimagine, I thought I was creating a place to teach people how to sew.

But I’m realizing… this is becoming so much more than sewing. It’s about community. 🧵💛

Tara is the mom of one of my teenage students. I’ve had the privilege of watching her daughter grow in creativity and sewing confidence. And today, Tara sent me a message telling me that watching me follow my dream helped inspire her to follow one of hers.

That touched my heart more than she knows. 🥹

Because this is exactly the kind of community I want to build, one where we encourage each other, take chances, try things that scare us, and celebrate each other as we grow.

And now it’s my turn to cheer HER on. 💛
