Our parent company, S3 Technologies, is looking for a junior low voltage technician. This position is entry-level with tons of opportunities to learn and grow within the company.
This position requires individuals to be knowledgeable and excited to learn more in all areas S3 serves including the following technologies:

Job Overview/Expectations and Preferred Requirements
• Take instructions from lead technician is expected.
• Construction or General labor background is preferred.
• Structured Cabling experience is strongly recommended but not required.
• Assist with all areas of installation, including: running wire, fire block using different blocking medias, speaker installs, line controls, racks, televisions, terminating CAT 5, CAT 6, COAX, fiber, patch cables, wifi extenders, and other low voltage installations in the commercial and residential areas.
• Experience using basic cabling tools (punch down, crimpers, snips, testing tools, etc.)
• Ability to work with other technicians to troubleshoot issues on and off job sites and communicate with team members and Lead Technician on problem-solving.
• Follow safety procedures and practice excellent job etiquette is expected.
• Clean up job site is expected.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and hardware is required.
• Must work well with little or no supervision individually and in a team environment.
• assist the Lead Technician in responding to service calls.
• Maintain responsibility for company vehicle maintenance and cleanliness and organization of van, ensure van is stocked with proper inventory levels, communicate with project manager when van needs to be re-stocked or serviced.
• Must have reliable transportation a valid driver’s license and able to be insured.
• Other duties as assigned.
Physical Conditions:
• Use of small hand tools. (Required to possess your own basic tools)
• Use of power tools.
• Must be comfortable working in construction environments.
• Climbing of stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds.
• Ability to work from heights such as man lifts, scissor lifts and rooftops utilizing proper fall protection.
• Carrying tools and equipment up and down stairs.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Occasionally required to sit. Regularly required to stand. Regularly required to bend at the neck and waist. Regularly required to squat, climb, kneel, or crawl. Regularly required to twist at the neck and waist. Regularly required to use hands and fingers to perform simple grasping. Regularly required to use hands to perform power grasping. Regularly required to use hands for fine manipulation. Frequently required to push or pull. Regularly required to reach above shoulder level. Regularly required to reach below shoulder level.
• Frequently required to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds, regularly lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or carry over 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Education and Training:
• A high school diploma or equivalent required
• Vocational/Technical/Business School strongly preferred
• Technology training preferred
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be working mostly on a job site and required to follow all safety requirements outlined in S3’s safety manual and additional safety measures as communicated. The individual will be moving about at the job site, building, and tearing down objects. They will be required to move about and position themselves inside tight and cramped space. They frequently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery. They must be able to exchange accurate information with customers and others in the office while interacting. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The individual must be capable of reviewing their work for errors and make adjustments as necessary.
