This year’s production brings together 42 incredible students from across Northeast Ohio, representing more than twenty schools (plus a couple fearless homeschoolers) to share one stage at the legendary Akron Civic Theatre.

These young performers have been working hard, and we cannot wait for audiences to experience the talent, humor, and heart they’re bringing to this iconic musical.

The Akron All-City Musical is holding pit orchestra auditions for Mean Girls: High School Edition, under the direction of Victor Anstine. We’re assembling a sharp, collaborative band to support this high-energy production.

🎼 Instruments Being Auditioned
• Bass Guitar
• Drum Set
• Auxiliary Percussion
• Electric Guitar (2 positions)
• Keyboard (2 positions)
• Alto Saxophone
• Baritone Saxophone
• Clarinet / Soprano Saxophone / Tenor Saxophone
• Flute / Piccolo
• Trumpet / Flugelhorn
• Trombone

🎧 Audition Includes
• 1 prepared excerpt on your instrument
• Possible sight-reading of the part you are auditioning for
