Our final screenprinting course at White Rabbit Galleries was a success! Everyone created their own stencils, and some even experimented with the bleach slurry technique on clothing.

They made beautiful stencils and watercolor prints—great work, everyone!

This was a three-week workshop at White Rabbit Galleries where students learned how to create watercolor screenprinting monotypes and received an introduction to stencil-making using drawing fluid and screen filler.

Thank you to everyone at White Rabbit Galleries for assistance and allowing students to stay later!

Rubber City Prints Presents
The National Alternative Print Show, an exhibition to showcase artists who push the
boundaries of what print can be while expanding the language of printmaking.
By embracing new processes and innovations, NAPS highlights the creativity, excellence, and
thoughtfulness that define contemporary printmaking and alternative print practices today.
This show gives artists the space to exhibit work that extends past the traditional definitions
and explores how artists use print to their advantage.

The 2025 NAPS exhibition is hosted by Kent State University at Stark in the William J. and
Pearle F. Lemmon Visiting Artist Gallery.
Rubber City Prints thanks everyone at Kent State University at Stark for hosting this exhibition. 🙌 It's a beautiful gallery space for this show and we couldn't do it without your support.

Thank you to all the artists in the show for embracing change, trying something new, and always staying creative!

What Makes a True Giclée?

To create a museum-quality print, several key elements must come together:
Resolution
Standard digital photos = 72 DPI
Giclée prints = at least 300 DPI
More dots per inch = more detail & sharper images

Ink
Must be pigment-based, not dye-based
Long-lasting, vibrant, and fade-resistant

Paper or Canvas
Must be archival quality (watercolor paper, canvas, or specialty fine art paper)
Ensures your print stands the test of time

Printer Type
Large-format printers with up to 12 ink cartridges
Allows for a wide color range and incredible accuracy

Together, these elements make giclée prints the gold standard for fine art reproduction. If you have Giclée prints please submit to the National Alternative Print Show by clicking the link in our bio! If you need help getting started connect with us to learn more.
