ANNOUNCING THE RETURN OF MONSTERFESTMANIA!
Hey Group! The other day me and my fellow horror and sci-fi FANgs were sitting around the breakfast table reminiscing about our favorite conventions and we immediately thought of Monsterfestmania!
What a great show if we do say so ourselves. It was the perfect mix of classic horror and sci-fi movies and television shows represented by authors, film makers, actors, horror hosts, and terrific vendors. We had a blast hosting that first show. So, we feel it is time to announce The Return of MONSTERFESTMANIA! The Retro Sci-Fi and Horror Show!
We are planning for the return to take place in 2022. Date, time, and place to be determined. Hopefully, we will be past the pandemic by then. So, please like our page so you can follow along as our plans unfold.

TONY ISABELLA APPEARING AT MONSTERFESTMANIA!
TONY ISABELLA resides as the High Priest of the First Church of Godzilla, founded to celebrate the Great Scaly One who protects us from monsters, alien invaders and Man's own folly with his fiery atomic love. In addition, Tony has chronicled the following scary delights:
Dracula Lives! ● Ghost Rider ● Grim Ghost ● Haunt of Horror ● Marvel Chillers ● Masters of Terror ● Monsters of Madness ● Monsters of the Movies ● Monsters Unleashed ● Tales of Evil ● Vampire Tales ● Werewolf by Night ● Zombies and more!
TONY was born in Cleveland, Ohio - birthplace of Superman - on December 22, 1951. A 43-year veteran of the comics industry, he began his career in 1972 as an assistant to Stan Lee and Roy Thomas at Marvel Comics in New York City. He has been an editor and writer at Marvel and for many other publishers. At DC Comics, he created Black Lightning, the company’s first prominent African-American super-hero. With Bob Ingersoll, he co-wrote the prose novels Captain America: Liberty’s Torch and Star Trek: The Case of the Colonist’s Co**se and is the author of 1000 Comic Books You Must Read, one of comicdom’s most successful books of comics history and nostalgia. He was the lead reviewer for and a contributing editor of Comics Buyer’s Guide for over two decades. He now writes the daily “Tony Isabella’s Bloggy Thing” and has been a ghost-writer for a number of syndicated newspaper comic strips, creating several characters of color for the strips. He received the Inkpot Award at the 2013 Comic-Con International in San Diego. In 2015 and beyond, Isabella seeks to take a more active role in promoting diversity in comics and in his own writings. This will include examining his own work and that of others, as well as seeking artists, publishers and other creative people to partner with on new projects. Feel free to stop by Tony's table to discuss any and all of the above.
CONVENTION GUIDE UPDATE!
A few minor changes needed to be made before the official Monsterfestmania Convention Guide went to print. (Is there an unofficial guide? Not really. Official just sounds more... well, official!) We had to make a few exhibitor placement changes and amend the Shock Theater schedule. We hope you enjoy the show!
No! No! It's okay! We didn't miss it. Monsterfestmania starts in just six more days!
All presale ticket holders please make sure you check in at the presale ticket booth with your PayPal receipts.
SPECIAL GHOULARDI TRIBUTE
Monsterfestmania will be hosting a special Ghoulardi Tribute Panel presented by Horror Host-Orian Michael Monahan, author and local radio and TV personality Michael Olzsewski, with special guest Tony Isabella at noon on Saturday July 30th as a part of a full lineup of programing dedicated to celebrate the Horror Host tradition beginning Friday the 29th.
HEY GROUP!
Ernie Anderson’s crazy beatnik alter ego, Ghoulardi, was more than a horror host. He was more than a local television celebrity. Ghoulardi was a social movement.
Hot on the heels of the Cuban Missile Crisis and the British Beatle Invasion, Ghoulardi exploded on the scene like a cultural boom-boom. Over 50 years later, Cleveland is still picking up the pieces.
Join a panel of expert Ghoul-ga-teers as they discuss Ghoulardi’s unprecedented appeal and his lasting influence, in the most highly-anticipated event since The Parma International Piano Music Playing Contest.
