COMING SOON from Ma'Sue Productions & Amazing Suspense Productions: a dramatic short/featurette (dare we dream backdoor pilot?) titled "MILKWEED." John Dayo-Aliya & Vince Tyree created this well-observed story about family trauma with characters too tough to be tragic. In our opinion, John is the best young playwright in Northeast Ohio (...Or Does It Explode?, O Patria Mia, A Happening on Imperial, Daybreak's Children, and Blue, Miss Billie). His theater balances the hard-hitting with the heart-felt, but always keeps it real even when surreal. We are proud to help bring you the cinematic writing/directing debut of Mr. Dayo-Aliya. Milkweed features moving performances by Jeannine Gaskin, Caorl Gibson-Eutsey, Crystle Paynther Collins, Willis Gordon, Keana Seals, and Princess Pointer. Camera work by
Thomas Matheis, Gunn Bennett, Andrew Arehart, Jack Arehart, and Amy Spencer. Kurt Brown was the camera tech. Editing and post-production by Ms. Spencer. Vince Tyree recorded audio & held everything together by carrying the biggest production load. Additional production help was provided by Mr. Dayo-Aliya, Mr. Brown, Amy Spencer, Ian D. Kroyer, and Sharon Spencer. Craft services were donated by the incredibly supportive Elaine Chin & Chin's Place and Michael Carrino who made some wonderful meatballs.
