A message from Braydon's Dad , Jon :
"I just want to take a moment to share how proud I am of my son, Corporal Braydon Hummel. He was recently promoted in the U.S. Army National Guard, and honestly, watching the young man he’s become has been nothing short of amazing.
Braydon has always had a heart for service. He’s currently serving at Wende Correctional Facility with the Guard, and he’s really taken to the work, not just with the staff, but with the inmates too. He’s got a way of carrying himself that earns respect, but also shows compassion.
He’s also worked hard in the Niagara County Sheriff’s Explorer Program, and was recently promoted to Captain by Sheriff Filicetti, Captain Zimmerman and the leadership team. Law enforcement has always been a passion of his, and it’s been incredible to see him lean into that path.
At home, Braydon is more than a soldier or future officer, he’s a loving big brother to Brendan (16), Aubrey (15), and Bryson (12). He’s always been the kind of kid who looks out for his siblings, steps up when things get tough, and leads by example. He’s caring, helpful, protective - everything you’d hope a big brother would be.
Braydon's also got a soft spot for golf and a deep love for his country and community. My kid loves Buffalo, and it shows in everything he does.
As his Dad, I am beyond proud of the man he’s becoming.
He’s through and through.
I, his family and his friends, think the world of him. I love you Son.
