What an incredible weekend with UNBOUND dance company! ❤️🖤

Many of our BDS Company dancers kicked off the 2026–2027 convention and competition season with two full days of training at the Unbound Summer Intensive in Columbia! Our dancers had the opportunity to learn from an incredible faculty, explore different styles, and continue growing and challenging themselves.

A special congratulations to three of our dancers who were recognized with scholarships during the intensive!

⭐ Adalind Morris | NYCDA Regional Convention Scholarship
⭐ Everly Morris | Full Unbound Intensive Scholarship
⭐ Barrett Safford | One-Day Unbound Intensive Scholarship

The weekend also included Afterlight, an incredible dance concert presented by Unbound Dance Company on Friday and Saturday nights. The performances were filled with incredible talent, artistry, and emotion, and we were especially proud to see some familiar BDS faces take the stage! BDS instructors Michael McManus, Jordan Rice, and Sophie Hunsicker performed alongside BDS alum Hayden Horton. ❤️

What a special opportunity for our dancers to spend their days training and also see their own teachers and a BDS alum take the stage as performers and artists themselves.

We’re so proud of our dancers for continuing to learn and grow, and of our instructors and alum for continuing to inspire both onstage and in the studio.

✨ Adult Musical Theater at Burns! ✨

Ready for a little musical theater fun? Join our Assistant Director and dance instructor, Miss Tatum, for a special Adult Musical Theater drop-in class at BDS!

Open to ages 16 and up, join us Saturday, September 19 from 10:00–11:30 AM for a morning of dancing, performing, and plenty of musical theater fun!

Tatum brings so much creativity and energy to BDS and was part of the choreography team behind our National Championship Company routine, A Cover Is Not the Book, this summer. We’re excited for our older and adult dancers to have the opportunity to learn from her, too!

Happy Birthday, Mrs. Caroline! 🎉❤️

From growing up dancing at Burns to now celebrating her 8th year teaching at BDS, Mrs. Caroline has been part of the Burns family for so many years!

She shares her love of dance with students of all ages, teaching our STARS & SUPERSTARS preschool dancers, Tap, Musical Theater, and our Hip Hop & Musical Theater Squads. She was also part of the duo who choreographed our National Championship winning Company routine this summer! 🏆✨

This birthday is an extra special one as she gets to celebrate with her sweet 6-month-old daughter, Mabel, by her side! 🥰

We’re so thankful for Mrs. Caroline and all the energy, creativity, and love she brings to BDS and our dancers.

Our 2026–2027 season is officially underway, and we loved seeing so many smiling faces back in the studio yesterday!

Tonight, we get to do it all over again as we welcome more of our BDS dancers for their first classes of the season. We can’t wait to see you!

Our 2026–2027 dance classes officially begin today, and we are so excited to welcome our dancers and families to BDS!

We can’t wait to see familiar faces, welcome new dancers, and have our studios filled with dancing again. Whether you’ve been part of the BDS Family for years or are joining us for the very first time, we’re so glad you’re here!

The studio is coming back to life! ❤️🖤

Our BDS Company dancers kicked off the 2026–2027 season last week with their first rehearsals!

The music was on, the dancers were back at work, and that BDS energy was back in the building. We loved seeing our Company dancers learning, growing, working hard, and getting ready for all that’s ahead this season!

New season. New goals. Let’s LEVEL UP! 🔥

And we’re just getting started! Tomorrow, we welcome the rest of our BDS Family back as regular classes begin Monday, August 17. We can’t wait to see our new and returning dancers and families back in the studio!

Looking for a fun first dance class for your little one? Our preschool combination classes introduce young dancers to different styles while building confidence, learning the basics, and having fun along the way!

⭐ STARS | Ages 3–5
Perfect for first-year dancers! We still have spots available in our Wednesday Tap/Musical Theater STARS class.

🌟 SUPERSTARS | Ages 4–5
Ready for the next step? Designed mainly for second-year preschool dancers, our SUPERSTARS classes offer three fun ways to keep learning and growing:

✨ Tap/Jazz | Mondays at 6:00 PM
✨ Jazz/Acro | Wednesdays at 5:30 PM
✨ Tap/Ballet | Thursdays at 6:00 PM

Parents get to watch the fun, too! Each of our studio rooms features observation windows, so you can watch your dancer learn and grow throughout the year. ❤️
