45 years ago, our Mom while working for the Sheltered Workshop (now Innovative Industries), decided to bring everyone to the farm for a day of fun.

Mom organized everything, Dad cooked the Hog, us kids helped make cinnamon rolls the night before and serve the meals. Don and Jeff Norman offered to put together a band for entertainment. (Dons two very young sons would offer ornry entertainment of their own ๐Ÿ˜‚).

Who knew how very special this tradition would become to all of us.The Lowenberg, kids and now grandkids still gather night before and make (180,200, 300?) cinnamon rolls the night before. And how cool is it that we now have THREE generations of Lowenbergs and Normans helping make it all possible.

Friday, the Lowenberg family hosted their 45th Annual Hog Roast for Innovative Industries, and this year C.A.R.E., Iowa Focus and Ringgold County Supportive Services joined the fun. Our largest attendance to date, serving 170 meals.

A huge thank you to our favorite band coming together each year to rock the stage: Jeff, Jeremiah and Joe Norman, Tim Waske, Rick Harrell, Garrett Lee and Austin! Many thanks to everyone that makes this day so amazing. We look forward to this event every year!

Ps. Thanks Mom and Dad ๐Ÿ’›
