Black Butterflies is a gripping documentary intended to unveil how the legal system has made mistakes in the past through wrongful incarceration of women of color. In the documentary some of these women reveal their personal stories of survival. The film further amplifies survivors' resilience and the need for change and reform in the system. Black Butterflies is currently fundraising on the Seed & Spark platform. This documentary is being lead by local, 2 time Emmy nominated director Jerod Couch from The Creative Couch. Mark your calendars for this Wednesday, Feb. 19! "Win or Lose" is the best new animated series to watch, especially if the cold weather keeps us indoors nationwide! Nothing like a good strong laugh to warm you up. Pixar had a preview screening last week at their Emeryville, CA headquarters of the first four (4) episodes. There wasn't a dry eye in the house during Milan's and Rosa Salazar's episodes... very emotional & hilarious at the same time. Rosa Salazar and Milan Elizabeth Ray play (voice) mother-daughter roles in this new series. "Win or Lose" shares all of the color and successful vibes of "Inside Out" and is for all ages. 2025 is here! There are many days ahead in the new year now to reach your goals! Most of us continue to learn that the timing of events in our lives are not always under our complete control. Therefore, acceptance and learning to be prepared and to make adjustments during the many twists and turns of living is exceedingly important.

As many celebrities have also shared, it's time to be steadfast in being open minded and to refrain from poorly placed judgment. It's long overdue to stop the hate. I especially like what a post from Michael Douglas had to say. You can read it in the comments below.

Diversification can always be fun! Shout out to VO actress Leland Derik for adding 'published author' (as E. L. Derik) to her list of accomplishments! Her first book: "Asher - The Thief of Jersusalem: Part 1" is now available on Amazon and other sites. I got totally immersed in the compelling story and read it in one sitting.
