This weekend we attended The Thirst Project Gala at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. Since our partnership with the Thirst Project began in 2018, we have raised over $15,000, which is enough to provide clean drinking water to more than 600 people for life. We have already fully funded one well, and by the end of 2022 we will be more than half way to a second one!

Thank you to everyone who has contributed through the purchase of catalog arrangements and participating in our Thirsty Thursday giveaways throughout the summer!

Thank you to Damon Brown for the invitation - if you don’t already follow his Show Choirs for Thirst group, give it a follow and see all the ways you and your students can get involved.

Come back next week for our last weekly giveaway of the summer before our final grand prize giveaway over Labor Day weekend!

08/16/2022

We are looking to add another guitar player or two to our track team. Track team members must have their own recording equipment and good sight reading skills. Candidates should be proficient in a wide variety of styles - most common are rock and pop, but there is also funk, swing, some country, musical theater, etc. Recordings often involve ad libbing solos.

This is part-time work as an independent contractor and is highly seasonal, although there is some recording in the off-season. Track team members are paid bi-weekly.

If you're interested, or know someone who may be, send us a private message or email [email protected]

Thanks!!

The megamix includes Wanted Dead or Alive, Blaze of Glory, Livin' On A Prayer, It's My Life, Lay Your Hands On Me, and Bad Medicine with a final vocal statement from You Give Love A Bad Name. There is a lot of flexibility and options with this chart and you could pair it with our Bad Name/Goin' On arrangement, which is a medley of You Give Love A Bad Name (TTB), and We Got It Going On (SSA), and make the whole second half of your show Bon Jovi. This arrangement has been in the catalog since just before the pandemic, but it has never been performed in a competition setting - your choir could be the first!

Pom Poms

Pom Poms (Jonas Brothers)

This SATB chart is a lot of fun! The vocals are fairly simple--but effective, the band charts are hot, and there are many opportunities for visual moments. You can stage the number like a pep rally with cheerleaders and a marching band! This arrangement was originally written for Friend De Coup from Mitchell High School for their 2022 Spring Show, and has never been performed in a competition setting--your choir could be the first!

The track features Ines Cring & Brian McCallister on vocals.
