Our run at Pratt today, we're still getting used to the long hauls but we're having a blast. It wasn't her fastest run but it was so much better than our weekend in Nebraska!

I am extremely honored to have been selected to receive the Ed Drury Memorial Scholarship at the WOSC Agriculture Scholarship presentations this past week. I was also honored to meet Ed's mom. I learned that Ed was an amazing and outgoing young man who loved sports, but especially Rodeo, and that everyone loved Ed! This memorial was set to remember and honor his life. It is usually awarded to one of the Rodeo team members each year.

First college rodeo is officially in the books!

We headed up to Colby, Kansas on Thursday and spent the first couple days hanging out, watching everyone compete, and getting ready for my run Saturday night.

After several barrel racers slipped and a horse went down Friday morning, the directors made the decision that the arena wasn’t safe for the barrels. So it turned into a little more of an adventure than we expected. The closest arena they could find was in McCook, Nebraska, another hour and a half north.

We loaded up, made the drive to Nebraska, got ready, made our run, and then turned around and drove 7 1/2 hours back home. Definitely not how I pictured my first college rodeo going, but it’s one I’ll never forget!

We didn’t make the short go this time, but I’m so thankful just to have the opportunity to be here and compete.

Thank you to my coach for giving me this opportunity, my parents for always believing in me and supporting me, and the Colby rodeo directors for putting the safety of the athletes first.

First one down, and I’m ready for the next!

In a matter of minutes, everything can change. We had to do something last night I wouldn't wish on anyone. Our red mare got caught in something and created such an injury to her leg that our Vet felt would never heal correctly and she would forever be in pain. My family and I all agreed. So, we made the difficult decision to put her at ease.

Red Mare, you will always have a place in our hearts! 💕

My girl May May is coming along nicely. She has a good head on her and some long legs!

Some of my absolute favorite pictures of Callie and I were taken by Cadey Jones Media. These are some of my favorites from NBHA State Finals.
