Youth Ballet design to provide young people with the opportunity to prepare and present to the public, full-length ballet's under the direction of professional choreographers. To enhance the skills that these young people have received through the study of ballet at their respective academies by learning all that is involved in the preparation of a ballet performance. To encourage young people to

consider a career in dance and assist them in progress toward this goal, either with a professional company or by studying dance at the university level.

Nutcracker rehearsals have officially begun!

It’s Choreography Week, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome our dancers back to the studio!

Tonight we kicked off the week with Flowers, Pointe Soldiers, Snowflakes, and our Chinese Corps — and if this first day is any indication, we’re in for a magical season!

We are officially kicking off Nutcracker season this week with 92 talented dancers coming together from 23 different dance studios!

We aren’t a single training ballet school, we’re a dedicated youth ballet company. That means we bring passionate dancers together from everywhere under one roof to collaborate, build lifelong friendships, and create magic on stage.

WMYB x ArtPrize: We’re Taking the Stage at DoodleStreet!

We’re thrilled to announce that West Michigan Youth Ballet is partnering with ArtPrize for DoodleStreet, a free celebration of creativity designed to inspire children and families through art, movement and imagination!

On Saturday, September 26, our dancers will bring the art of ballet to the Grand Rapids Downtown Market as part of this exciting community event. We couldn’t be more proud to have our young artists represented alongside so many incredible creative experiences happening throughout the day.
