The Communication and Performance Studies: Theatre concentration prepares students interested in acting, technical theatre, dramatic arts, and theatre management to enter those fields. The Theatre concentration requires study and work in all aspects of theatre. Students interested in performing learn (and work on) the technical aspects that make their performance possible. Students interested in t

echnical theatre step onstage. This broad background enables each to appreciate the other, creates a "teamwork" culture in theatre, and prepares students to enter the world of professional or educational theatre in a number of capacities. The Theatre concentration also prepares students for graduate study in Theatre. Theatre majors prepare four main stage productions each academic year and also support an active studio theatre season. So, you ask, what kind of job can I get with a theatre degree? The entertainment industry is a multi-billion dollar industry and we often forget how broad in scope this industry is. You can pursue your childhood dream or find a new one. From the "legitimate stage" to movies to television, from performing to directing to designing to representing performers, directors and designers, from regional theatre to industrial shows, a theatre education opens a vast panorama of opportunities. But even more, a theatre education develops the person. Theatre is for humans, by humans, and about being human. The theatre-educated student comes to realize the inter-relationship of all learning, the understanding of how everything we know and do helps us to understand and to change in this ever-changing world. The "business" of theatre can get you where you want to go.

Hi Alpha Psi Omega-

Happy Wednesday! Hope you had a great July!

We reached out a couple of months ago and I’m reaching out again because my company - Fresh Prints - is giving out another $1,000 scholarship this August. It's for any and all current undergrad college students.

Again, we'd love to hear from students in Alpha Psi Omega. Do you mind passing this email along to the Org? We're taking applications until August 31st.

Here's the link to the application itself… it only takes a few minutes to apply.

As we mentioned earlier, we try to help one awesome student every month or so. So if it's okay with you, we'll also reach out with future opportunities (if it isn't okay, just LMK). Thanks for your help!

Best,
Jolijt
