This is Jan Long an instructor from the new Human Development, Hospitality, and Food Science program (formally FCS). We have three classes that partner well with your department to expand students career opportunities below that still have room in them. I would really appreciate it if you could share this information by email, Instagram, or any other way you would choose with your students. HHFS 1113-01 Apparel Design and Construction
This class is a hands-on class that will teach you how to design and make quality clothing. Have you ever wanted to sell your own products or sell others products? Then this is the class for you.
HHFS 1213-01 Fibers, Yarns &Textiles in an Emerging Economy
This class is a partial hands-on class that inspires students to see the differences in fibers, yarns and fabrics. Many of today’s products are made from fabrics. Examples the dollar bills, vehicles, mulch, the rocket ships, planes, tires and many more. Knowing this information will open up your eyes to the relationship of textiles to every career.
HHFS 3623-01 Event Promotion
Learning to be an Event Promotor is a necessary in many careers. This class is exciting and extremely interesting and teaches you all the ins and outs of Promoting Events. Learn how to do a quality job that benefits your client. This class is a partial hands-on class.
