Director Harms started prepping the basement for it's summer clean! Cleaning the basement fridge, taking angel wings off costumes for laundry, locking up all storage totes and rolling cabinets. Our AMLAD set and costumes will have to wait until we are fully back to be struck, and for now, everything will stay stuck in time. Missing our vibrant PC community right now!
Come see PC"s "A Matter of Life and Death" March 6 and 7, a story about a bomber pilot in WWII trying to fight for love. We're in weeks 3 and 4 of rehearsal, and beginning to tackle the second half of the show.
Our advanced improv class had a great time performing for the AB extended day program. We made pancakes and replayed at Bernie's. Come with us to an improv land! Thank you to Brockton's Magic Theatre for the inspiration!

We had such a blast taking "Rosie the Riveter" on the road to Douglas Elementary today. Tomorrow we take "Rosie" to Conant and then we have two home performances Friday at 7 and Saturday at 7. Tickets and ABSAF passes available at the door. Don't miss the state award winner for Best Production!
We are exhausted after hosting MA ThesFest yesterday and all the other amazing schools! Congratulations to PC's "Rosie the Riveter" for winning the state award for best show at MA Thespians this weekend! "Rosie the Riveter" also won "Best Costume Design" (Jimin Kong, Ashlyn McCammon, Mia Junghans, Kaitlynn Doyle, Abby Sullivan, Caroline Atherton, and Gracie Luutu), "Best Ensemble," "Best Stage Management and Run Crew" (Ira Mukherjee, Clare Simpson, Lucy Stevenson, Rebeka Mendelsohn, Clare Lucyk), and "Outstanding Actor" to Kelly McMahan for her performance as Rosie. "Rosie the Riveter" is eligible to compete at Internationals in June! PC's "The Book of Everything" won state awards for "Best Lighting Design" (Nathan Watlington, Guin Jones, Aidan Jones), "Best Sound Design and Execution" (Colin Murphy, Riley Fagans, Depre Carr), "Best Ensemble," and "Outstanding Actors" to Jon Heatley, Kate Bettez, Becca Ford, and Joey Pittorino. Sarah Woods won the state technical theatre scholarship for her lighting design of "The Hunchback of Notre Dame." Joey Pittorino won the state acting scholarship! Superior technical theatre earned the following students a slot to compete at internationals: Frank Ricciardone (costume design for "The Hunchback of Notre Dame,") Eli Stein (stage management for "The Hunchback of Notre Dame"), and Jimin Kong (costume design for "Rosie the Riveter"). Superior performances in acting and musical theatre earned the following students a slot to compete at internationals: Jonathan Heatley, Joey Pittorino, Marie Danzig, Hadley D'Esopo, Connor Spaulding, Sofia Goorno, Ashleigh Vittum, Maddie King, Kelly McMahan, and Curtis Deese. #MAThespians #Thespiansforlife
We had a great time embracing the 1920s for the auditions for our spring play "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Check out some of dance callbacks as we took on classic moves like the Charleston!

We are excited to partner with the amazing AB Cheer Team on "The Book of Everything." We learned new skills like thigh stands, shoulder sits, and teddy bears. Check out one of new stunts that will help us make Thomas's world of imagination.
On day three of rehearsal, "Rosie the Riveter" cast began work on integrating period-appropriate music into our show to raise the emotional temperature of our scenes. Sometimes the echoey space of East Commons can give some awesome acoustics.

Come one, come all to PC's fall musical "The Hunchback of Notre Dame." We are the third production in all of Massachusetts to perform this musical, which is only 5 years old. After 4 days of rehearsal, we have our first sneak peek! This cast is incredible and this is a direct result of all their hard work. They were never afraid to say "one more time!" If this is after 4 days, can you imagine where we will be in 2 months?
Introducing the cast of "Beauty and the Beast!" 56 in the cast and over half of the cast is new to the PC stage. We are exploring how the villagers of our poor provincial town judge Belle on her appearance and cannot "look beyond" her fair facade.

The assistant stage managers (ASMs) are enjoying our first day of dry tech for "Three Musketeers." Dry tech is when we write all our light and sound cues. Check out our ASMs having fun on our set! Now the carpentry is finished, up next is to finish painting the set. Come join us for as much or as little as you can to paint it Thursday from 8am-2pm.
