Today is the last day of August, and Create It Studio is OPEN 11–3 today! We move to our new hours Wednesday through Saturday 11-3 after today. Please message us for an appointment to visit outside those hours. If your dropping donations today we are open today 11-3.
Meanwhile, things are about to get very busy at the Create It Studio Sewing Retreat House here in Acme! Our group has grown to 15 amazing ladies who will be coming together to make quilts for families impacted by the Spokane fires. Photos will be put on our page as the week goes on. But....
We still need donations!
If you have quilting supplies you can spare, we would be incredibly grateful for:
🧵 Batting — even larger scraps! We can piece batting together.
🧵 Backing fabric.
🧵 Fat quarters
🧵 Yardage that we can cut into fat quarters
Every donation helps us turn another quilt top into a finished quilt that can bring a little warmth and comfort to someone who has lost their home. Buy a egift card for the event and we can give it to the ladies sewing to buy fabric on your behalf.
We also have some wonderful people to thank!
❤️ A huge shout-out to Villa Rosa Designs! Their owner graciously gave us permission to use one of their patterns as our selected “Gift of Love to Disaster Victims” pattern, the square dance, for the kits our volunteers will be sewing. We are so appreciative of their generosity and support of this effort.
And making quilt tops is only part of the job. They still have to finish quilts!

Please help us give these folks a HUGE thank-you! Long-arm quilting is a significant contribution of both time and resources, and their generosity means more of these quilts can get into the hands of families who need them.
15 sewists. Four long-armers. A community donating fabric, batting and backing. One common purpose. Photos on our page of the donations from all that have been so generous. We will do a final post to this week's event once we have all the quilt tops photos:)
Our last coordinated effort we had 30 full size quilts sent to Spokane and this time we are aiming for more!
