And just like that, we close out the 2026 points season! Everyone showed up in a big way to help us crown the division champions on what felt like a long and short season, depending on which night you asked me.

We are thankful to the drivers, crews and fans who commit to run and support Accord Speedway for an entire points season. We know there are other tracks, so thank you for choosing us. You’re the reason we keep working at making changes and improvements season after season. The positive feedback in person and in Facebook posts/messages is appreciated and noted.
It’s also very important that we thank our staff. We have an amazing scoring tower staff and race director who takes the heat when things don’t go the way a racer wants, track safety crew, flaggers, pit shack crew to sign in and “run” the pit side of the show, ticket booth/office helpers, gate attendants, security, concession staff, Rick in the announcing booth, Kids Klub, tech “technicians”, the Miss Accords, and anybody else who I inadvertently forgot because I didn’t get enough sleep. There are some familiar faces around the speedway that have committed over 20 years of Friday nights to work at Accord Speedway. Not only is that a commitment on their end, but it also affects their families and friends when their life revolves around a race track schedule. We sincerely thank you all for showing up year after year, being an ear to listen and sometimes a shoulder to cry on.
There are so many moving parts required to make a Friday night successful and we are thankful to have the support of so many people that have the same goal, provide a great track and night of racing for the drivers, crew and fans. We absolutely could not run without the support of videographer/drone pilot/all around doing whatever Gary asks him to do because he loves the place so much Geoff Baer, Johnson’s Towing, who we’ve watched grow up into the professional operation they are today, Marbletown First Aid Unit for organizing and providing coverage for all of our events, Kevin and KB’s photos for providing overall behind the scenes support like last minute plaque changes, victory lane signage and letting me vent, and the Decker Family who are here week after week taking over jobs that Gary can not complete on his own anymore…toilet’s flooded, I’ll call Dave, grills on fire, I’ll call Dave, we dropped tongs in the fryolater, call Dave, teens are brawling, call Dave!
Couldn’t write an end of season post if we didn’t also thank the sponsors who support us with billboards, equipment rentals, trucking of materials, materials, advertisements, signage, on demand electrical assistance, painting, power washing, the list goes on and on. It’s hard to say no to Gary, so thanks to all of the neighbors, community members and Hudson Valley businesses who support us year after year.
Thank you to everyone who keeps the speedway alive and well, Gary could not do this without you ❤️🏁
