Abrams Spotlight Productions, Inc. is a non-profit community theatre organization. is a non-profit community theatre organization formed January 2003.

Since 2007 we have been presenting three plays per year in our home, The Byng Community Theater. The theater was formerly the St. Louis Catholic Church in Abrams and we have done much to update the facility to make it performance-ready. We have installed a stage, lighting, a small dressing room, costume and props storage, and converted the vestibule area into a concession stand. We have also made

use of existing office space by making one the Box Office with a ticket window and the other a sewing/costume area. There are changes for the better taking place all the time. Our organization and the theater has become popular with Abrams and the surrounding communities. We have been involving children from age four and adults of all ages in acting, singing and dancing. We have also been training young adults to perform the lighting, sound, and backstage duties. We feel we are promoting the arts in young and old alike. Taking part in the productions has been wonderful for all involved and we have built many friendships through our involvement. Please come and visit us at our next show!

You don't need to know what a jazz square is.

You just need to be willing to try something new.

Our Pop-Up Musical Theater Dance Classes were created for:

✨ The former theater kid who misses being on stage
✨ The actor who wants to become more comfortable with movement
✨ The parent who has always wanted to take a dance class with their child
✨ The person who says, "I've always wanted to try that..."
✨ The beginner who doesn't know where to start
✨ The experienced performer looking for a creative outlet

Classes are just $10, beginner-friendly, and only 60 minutes long.

🎭 Theater Throwback Thursday 🎭

All summer we will be doing Theater Throwback Thursdays, where we highlight past shows at ASPI and celebrate the incredible memories, talent, and moments that have shaped our theater community.

This week, we’re kicking things off with a look back at our Fall 2018 production of Cabaret.

Bold, unforgettable, and thought-provoking, Cabaret took audiences into the world of the Kit Kat Club with powerful storytelling, iconic music, and striking visuals. It was a production that challenged both performers and audiences, leaving a lasting impression on everyone involved.

👞 A Challenge to the Guys 👞

When was the last time you tried something completely new?

On Saturday, June 13, we're offering a special beginner tap class inspired by "Newsies" - and we're especially inviting MEN to give it a try.

No recital.
No auditions.
No pressure.
No experience required.

Just one hour to learn some basic tap rhythms, move to great music, and discover why so many performers love tap dance.

Think dance isn't for you? That's exactly why we're inviting you.

Bring a friend. Bring your spouse. Bring your son or daughter. Or come on your own and see what it's all about.

While everyone is welcome to attend, this class was created with the goal of getting more men comfortable stepping onto the dance floor and trying something new.

Who remembers the fan-favorite, hilarious song “Gay or European” from Legally Blonde: The Musical? 🎭

Audiences every night of the show run were in stitches with the characters Nikos and Carlos in this playful, unforgettable moment that celebrates individuality and the joy of characters who don’t fit into easy labels.

At ASPI, we’re PROUD to be a welcoming space where everyone is valued, included, and free to be themselves- on stage, backstage, and in our audience. Theater is always better when it reflects the full range of people who make up our community.

While this class is intentionally designed to encourage men- especially beginners-to step into tap for the first time, **everyone is absolutely welcome to attend and participate**.

🎭 THEATER WORK DAY – THIS SATURDAY! 🎭

Join us on Saturday, May 30th at 9:00 AM for a full theater work day as we get our space in top shape for the season!

We’ll be tackling a variety of tasks including:
✨ Cleaning and deep organizing
🌿 Gardening and outdoor touch-ups
👗 Costume organization and sorting
🎭 Prop cleanup and inventory
…and plenty more projects to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes!

High School Students: we will sign your volunteer hour sheets for school!

This is a great way to pitch in, spend time with the theater community, and help make sure everything is ready for what’s ahead. Any amount of help makes a difference!

Happy Memorial Day

Today we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. We are forever grateful for their courage, their dedication, and the freedoms they protected.

As you spend time today with family and friends-whether that’s at the lake, around the grill, or simply enjoying a quiet moment-may we all take a moment to reflect on the meaning behind this day.
