After working all year behind the scenes as Director of Development for the Abita Springs International Film Festival, it’s gratifying to see the event succeed. Even though I’m busy throughout the festival making sure everything runs smoothly, the success of the experience for our filmmakers and guests makes it all worthwhile.

I would like to thank our Filmmakers Panel for being a huge part of the success of the festival!

Thank you!

Come listen to the Nat & Kat Cajun String Band at our VIP Party on Saturday, 1/17/26, at 7:30pm at the Abita Springs Hotel. You can purchase tickets at the door or at www.abitafilmfest.org under "Admissions". Tickets are $35 per person and include food, wine, and beer.

Nat & Kat Cajun String Band was formed by friends Natalie Naquin (cello) and Katy Murphy (guitar) through a shared love of early roots Louisiana Cajun and Creole music. Leaning into their unique instrumentation while staying grounded in traditional style, Nat & Kat create stripped-down arrangements of classic waltzes, two-steps, reels, and ballads for cello, guitar, and vocals that are spare but sonically rich. With their haunting interpretations of these timeless melodies, listeners are transported to moonlit bayous, sonorous cypress swamps, and dreamy live oak groves.
